Ashley Callingbull
Ashley Callingbull is an actress, model, host and First Nation’s activist from the Enoch Cree Nation. She is an actress on Blackstone, Tribal, The Great Salish Heist and was a contestant on the Amazing Race Canada. Ashley is also an international motivational speaker and has been a keynote speaker at Harvard University, TED Talks and WE Day.
Ashley’s hard work and charity work ws recognized as she received the Top 20 Under 30 Award in Canada and was named as one of Canada’s Top 10 Power Women. Ashley received the Youth First Nations Award from Indspire which recognizes outstanding achievement across Turtle Island. Ashley was honoured to be inducted into the Circle of Honour at the Esquao Awards which recognizes Indigenous female leaders and activists. For her community work Ashley received the Role Model Award from the United Nations on Global Dignity Day. On the 70th Anniversary of Her Late Majesty, Ashley was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubliee Medal for her dedication of public service to family, community and her country.
This past year Ashley was announced as the first Indigenous First Nations woman to become a Sports Illustrated Model. Ashley is currently an In Game Host for the Canadian Football League, the National Lacrosse League and the National Hockey League. Ashley made history this year as the first Indigenous woman to win the title of Miss Universe Canada and will be representing our nation at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November. She also recently signed her first book deal with Harper Collins publishing and will be a published author in Spring 2025.
Joelle Tomlinson
Joelle Tomlinson is a Canadian journalist and award-winning news anchor known for her passion and professionalism.
With almost 15 years of experience on the screen, Joelle was the youngest Black female morning news anchor in Western Canada’s history. Today, as a community reporter, she covers human interest stories, using her platform to amplify diverse voices and to advocate for mental health and addiction awareness after losing her brother to a fentanyl overdose. Joelle is also an accomplished speaker and emcee on the national stage, and has presented in Calgary, Saskatoon, Toronto and Vancouver.
Joelle values connection, community, and compassion, and is dedicated to giving back. She is an avid trail runner, Boston and Chicago marathoner, and can most often be spotted on Calgary’s pathways with her two dogs and a cinnamon dolce latte in hand.
Shayla Oulette Stonechild
Shayla Oulette Stonechild is a proud Red River Mètis and Nehiyaw iskwew (Plains Cree woman) from Muscowpetung First Nations. She has dedicated her life to empowering Indigenous youth and women to unlock their true potential. By sharing her own personal journey and shedding light on the painful reality of suicide within Indigenous communities, she strives to promote life and restore the essence of Nehiyaw values.
Shayla is a global yoga ambassador for lululemon, and the Founder and Host of the “Matriarch Movement”, which is an online platform, podcast, and non-profit organization dedicated to amplifying Indigenous voices and providing wellness workshops to Indigenous youth + BIPOC women across Canada.
In a groundbreaking achievement, Shayla became the first Indigenous person to grace the cover of “Yoga Journal” Magazine, symbolizing a powerful shift towards inclusivity and representation. She has amassed over 800+ hours of yoga teacher training and was a part of lululemon’s “Diversity and Inclusion” committee and is a part of their global advisory board for mental health. She taught a “Four Directions Yoga Flow” for 600+ people at BC Place Stadium for “National Indigenous Peoples” day.
Not only is Shayla an influential figure within the wellness world, but she also actively works towards fostering Indigenous representation and inclusion within mainstream media. Recently, she ran on Season 9 of “Amazing Race: Canada” alongside her brother. She was the host of APTN’s “Red Earth Uncovered”, and was the co-host of ET Canada’s “Artists & Icons: Indigenous Entertainers in Canada”. ET Canada and Shayla took home two Canadian Screen awards for the segment (Best Talk Program or Series and Best Direction). The series was produced in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt day.
In 2022, she won the Indspire Award for “First Nations Youth” which represents ‘the highest honor the Indigenous community bestows upon its own people’. Her award was presented by the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
Shayla’s impact extends far beyond her individual achievements. She has had over 40+ brand collaborations through content creation and focuses on themes such as language revitalization, matriarchy and Indigenous advocacy. Some collaborations include: Meta, Audible, Crave Canada, APTN, Nivea, Indigo, Telus, Saje Wellness, Joe Fresh, etc.
Her activism work has been recognized by media outlets such as CBC News, Etalk!, Hello!, APTN, allowing her to spread her powerful message to a wider audience. Shayla is not only an inspiring figure but also a cultural trailblazer. Through her unwavering dedication to empowering her community and advocating for Indigenous rights, she has left an indelible mark on the world.
Rachel Mielke
Rachel Mielke is the founder and CEO of Hillberg & Berk jewellery, a purpose-driven, Canadian company that she founded at her kitchen table in 2007. Through grit, determination, and vision Rachel grew Hillberg & Berk from her kitchen table to a national brand with 15 corporately owned stores from coast to coast and an ecommerce store serving clients globally. Rachel’s business highlights have included a showing at The Oscars, landing a venture capital deal on CBC’s Dragons’ Den, partnerships with Olympic ice dance champion Tessa Virtue, model and activist Ashley Callingbull, and Olympic hockey player Natalie Spooner, and receiving two custom design commissions for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Rachel was named to Ernst and Young class of Winning Women in 2015, was named one of XL’s Canada’s Top 40 under 40 in 2017, was WXN’s Canada’s 100 Most Powerful women in 2016 and 2017 and in 2022 Rachel received an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from her alma mater the University or Regina, in recognition of her visionary leadership and the philanthropic contributions she has made to the community.
